Handling crooks, creeks and dastards

Is your manipulative and self-centered colleague driving you crazy at work? Such people have the habit of blowing things out of proportion and create unnecessary problems for others because they want to be the centre of attention at their workplace.

Handling these kinds of crooks and creeks can be mentally, emotionally and physically very taxing. The productivity of the people, at the receiving end of these crooks, decreases in a huge way and the quality of work also gets affected.

These self-centered and manipulative people are difficult to tackle with. They become competitive in collaborative situation and cause huge stress to the relationships as well as team dynamics.

You won’t be able to come out of this situation until you change the rules of the game and for that you don’t need to stoop to their level. You need to be true to yourself while dealing with them. In such cases, practical motivational speakers, mentors and coaches play a key role in guiding you on how to deal with such toxic people.

First and foremost step that you need to take in this direction is to gather courage and stand up against the use and abuse by such people. The intentions, intellect and power within you will help you come out of the vicious circle.

There are different types of manipulative people at workplace too. While some try to manipulate upfront, others try to go behind your back to brainwash people, who are in direct contact with you.

That’s why you need to analyse and choose your strategy on the basis of the degree and type of crook.

If you wish, you can also tweak your strategy based on your emotional type. And once you are successful in backing these creeps off, you can happily celebrate and triumph at work.
